US464 - Overturn Roe v. Wade
Description

As an OB/GYN who delivered over 4,000 babies, Ron Paul knows firsthand how precious, fragile, and in need of protection life is.

Dr. Paul’s experience in science and medicine only reinforced his belief that life begins at conception, and he believes it would be inconsistent for him to champion personal liberty and a free society if he didn’t also advocate respecting the God-given right to life—for those born and unborn.

I'll be standing there with them... Where life is honored and celebrated, ... be it in the last final weary heartbeats of a journey's completion or the first magical .... joyful heartbeats in the womb of a journey ...... soon to begin.

I recognize there are two lives involved: the mom and the unborn child. And I believe that people of good conscience have chosen different paths in this regard. But I am pro-life and will intend, if I'm president of the United States, to encourage pro-life policies. I don't actually make the decision the Supreme Court makes and so they'll have to make their own decision. But, for instance, I'll reverse the president's decision on using U.S. funds to pay for abortion outside this country. I don't think also the taxpayers here should have to pay for abortion in this country. Those things I think are consistent with my pro-life position. And I hope to appoint justices for the Supreme Court that will follow the law and the constitution. And it would be my preference that they reverse Roe V. Wade and therefore they return to the people and their elected representatives the decisions with regards to this important issue.

If you repeal Roe v. Wade, you have to create a program to take care of babies/children after they are born. We will give them a better chance to succeed. This is the best argument for pro-choice:

However if you deny abortion, in many cases this will create a situation in which the parent/s are unprepared or unable to care for the child. This is a form of living hell for both parent and child, far worse than not being born in the first place.

"Immediately save lives by effectively repealing Roe v. Wade" was a direct quote from ronpaul2012.com, which has now been taken down I guess.
