US92 - Support candidates for a sustainable economy
| We should vote for politicians who can articulate policies on the Third Industrial Revolution. | |

Description
Jeremy Rifkin has written a book on the Third Industrial Revolution, designed to promote smart energy and environmental choices for the 21st Century. We need to question every politician on how they believe their environmental and energy choices are sustainable until 2200. With oil gone in 117 years, something has to change and change now. And Europe has begun to understand that sustainable choices in renewable energy, decreasing carbon footprints, and creation of green jobs is a win-win-win philosophy. We need to educate our candidates on these choices and have them promote a transition from the Second Industrial Revolution of oil and gas to the Third Industrial Revolution of smart grid and lateral sharing of renewable energy.
Arguments
Europe has instituted a 20-20-20 policy to get onto 20% renewable energy while reducing their greenhouse emissions by 20% and reduced energy demand by 20%. We need to find candidates who are unafraid to articulate the concept of a renewable, sustainable and environmentally neutral electric generation infrastructure.
