Description
In New Jersey, Joe has sponsored the School Children First Act. Modeled after Governor Christie’s education reform proposals, SCFA reformed teacher tenure and established new rules for student-centered procedures by ensuring teacher evaluations were measured by performance, tenure is offered by teacher effectiveness, and teacher compensation is based on attracting the best and the brightest. By taking on special interests, Joe fought to ensure that our teacher and schools are held accountable for student progress thereby rewarding excellence.
