US59 - Does God really have a role?
Description
Should just anyone who claims to be a Christian have their testimony accepted at face value? Should we as a nation not try each candidate for their sincerity?

Let's figure this out, after all, religion is what divides us the most. Jesus said, "Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division." so it is important we should know where political candidates stand on this.

You show me government articles, I'll show you holy scriptures. Your counterargument is NULL as you assume your article of the constitution to carry more value and weight than the Holy Bible.

Article IV, Paragraph 3 of the Constitution says, "The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States."  Are you looking to change this dictate of the most-revered founding fathers?

The Bible is a book for the guidance of the spirit.

The Constitution is a book for the guidance of man.

There is a division between them for good reason.

Besides what if they are sincere at the trial and are corrupted in office.

Jesus also said listen to the next guy when the time comes (4 replies)

Isn't it an insult to God if we don't like his creation?

That's the stupidest counterargument I've ever heard

Spirit was given to us and the intention was for us to use it to guide our actions. There is no division unless you are separating yourself from the Spirit God gave to you and if you do that God will give you want you want. however some will wake up and realize that is not what they want. I hope you wake up soon.
